Our flagship program, Meal Services, provides nourishing meals to low-income and homebound seniors in Atlanta who are unable to afford or access adequate nutrition. The Meal Services program delivers meals Tuesday through Saturday to frail, homebound and low-income seniors residing in Fulton County.
When designing our menus, we consult with a certified nutritionist, which enables us to offer meals that meet most dietary restrictions.
MOWA provides meals for congregate settings, including our Adult Day Health Center and Cobb County Senior Centers. We design our congregate menus in consultation with a registered dietitian and tailor them to the needs and preferences of our senior clients. As with all of the meals that we serve, our congregate meals are nutritious and well-balanced, but crafted to be appealing and enjoyable, too!
Meals On Wheels Atlanta partners with farmers markets, local growers, and businesses to provide fresh fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced meal plan. The Meals On Wheels Atlanta Fresh Food Partnership provides locally sourced fresh produce to food insecure seniors to improve their nutrition and health. Current partners include: Peachtree Road Farmers Market including a host of local growers.
Donations of food may be dropped off in our lobby during normal business hours, 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
For many of our homebound clients, their pets are the only family they have. However, because of income restrictions, they struggle to provide their furry friends with the care they need. You can help by donating funds or any of the items listed below.
